• June 13, 2026: Maria Korporal + Sonia Laura Armaniaco – Stories of Existence, Technology and Nature, exhibition curated by Alessandra Arnò / VisualContainer
Galleria YAG/garage, C-Nova, Viale Bovio, 235, 65125 Pescara

YAG/garage Gallery presents Maria Korporal + Sonia Laura Armaniaco – Stories on Existence, Technology and Nature, an exhibition curated by Alessandra Arnò and realized in collaboration with Visualcontainer.
The project explores some of the central issues of contemporary society, from the construction of identities to the relationship between human beings and the environment, as well as the acceleration of consumption and the role of technology as a cultural and social device.
The selected works, created over the course of more than a decade, bring different approaches to video art and audiovisual research into dialogue, creating a path that questions our gaze and the ways in which we perceive the present.
Maria Korporal’s work reflects on the impact of technology, environmental transformations, and the forms of interaction between living beings, images, and digital systems. Her works highlight tensions between nature and urban space, between collective memory and social behavior, revealing the contradictions that permeate contemporary everyday life.
Sonia Laura Armaniaco’s research focuses instead on technology as an idea of power and on the consequences it generates. Through images, sounds, and heterogeneous materials, her works create layered perceptual environments in which themes related to control, instability, and the possibility of imagining new forms of relationship and awareness emerge.
Situated within a working environment, the exhibition introduces a pause into the daily operational rhythm and invites visitors to rethink the relationship between production and perception, efficiency and attention. In the dialogue between artworks, space, and context, art becomes a tool for questioning what often remains implicit, activating new modes of observation and awareness.
Through visual and sonic languages, the exhibition opens a space for reflection on the ways we inhabit spaces, consume images, and build relationships with the environment, technology, and one another.
