Heavy rain, overflowing rivers and flooded basements are becoming increasingly familiar scenes, while in other parts of the world droughts are drying up rivers and fracturing the land. Extreme climatological events taking place all over the world should be a warning sign to industry, governments and humanity as a whole.
My hope is that we will respond to the Earth’s emergency call and take action before it is too late. May the telephone not rust in the water, but remind us to listen.
In 2020 I have begun to expand the work into an installation with multiple videos and sound: Emergency Call Center.
