La maggioranza della società vuole la protezione del clima, ma non vuole cambiare. Diventa nervosa, suscettibile alle campagne delle lobby fossili, alle superstizioni e alle influenze della destra.
Le persone sono favorevoli a fare qualcosa per il riscaldamento globale causato dall’uomo, ma vogliono comunque andare in aereo in vacanza. Si nega la propria dipendenza dai fossili. Gli altri Paesi, i politici, dovrebbero agire contro la crisi climatica. Le persone non vogliono vedere la propria responsabilità, in quanto elettori di partiti politici e inquinatori di emissioni di CO₂ in quanto consumatori di voli, auto e merci. Certo, qualcosa dovrebbe cambiare, ma non nella propria vita. La scienza chiama questo comportamento dissonanza cognitiva.

Un gattino beve il latte e allarga le braccia con gioia perché sta bevendo latte biologico da pascolo. Non guarda al cartone che finisce nella spazzatura nell’acqua.
Pensiamo di essere attenti all’ambiente quando consumiamo prodotti biologici dal supermercato. Ma se l’origine è davvero ecosostenibile come promette la confezione e dove finisce l’imballaggio, su questo chiudiamo un occhio.

Con il Patrocinio del Municipio Roma VIII e del Ministero dell’Ambiente e della Sicurezza Energetica. Organizzazione Associazione Neworld ETS.

Small Steps
L’opera è un film d’animazione nella forma analogica di un flipbook/libro d’artista. Presenta impronte di suole di scarpe di bambini, fatte con frottage di grafite su ogni pagina, accompagnate da immagini stampate, disegni e collage che rappresentano sequenze animate. Il libro può essere sfogliato da entrambi i lati, offrendo diverse possibilità di interpretazione. Al centro, una sequenza illustra l’evoluzione da quadrupede (scimmia) a bipede (uomo). Alla fine, la figura umana porta il titolo “Re Sol – Re Sole”, un riferimento ironico all’idea dell’uomo come apice dell’evoluzione. Tutti i materiali provengono dalla mia collezione o sono oggetti di seconda mano. Le scarpe da bambino simboleggiano il potenziale della generazione più giovane di ridurre la propria impronta ecologica. Inoltre, vorrei sottolineare che i piccoli passi possono portare a cambiamenti significativi.
